Ben, Maegan and Kaiden Schneider are pleased to announce the arrival of Kase Harrison Schneider weighing in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 18 inches long and arriving at 9:05 AM on August 5th. We checked in for a scheduled c-section at 6:30 Tuesday morning and after being processed and prepped for surgery, saw the successful delivery of Kase at 9:05.
Kase swallowed a good bit of fluid just before being delivered which caused him a little bit of breathing difficulty and low oxygen levels. After trying to clear it up in the nursery for about an hour, the doctors decided to have Kase spend some time in pure oxygen in the N.I.C.U., x-ray his lungs and check for any signs of an infection. It was going to be at least a couple of hours and possibly all day before Mom and family would have a chance to hold him.
After a couple of hours in the N.I.C.U., Kase's oxygen levels improved but he was still breathing rapidly. His x-rays came back normal and after another couple of hours, his breathing improved as well. At about 4:30 PM, Kase was delivered to Mom's room and onslaught of waiting family and friends. Mom and baby are doing well now and have had a wonderful evening.

Oh my goodness, the girls and I are SO excited for your family! Huge congratulations, and he is so adorable! We LOVE the picture of Kaiden with him in his "big brother" t-shirt! Just wonderful! So glad you all are doing well. Blessings to you all and remember to call ANYTIME! :)
