Kaiden Rubbed It in the Dirt

Kaiden had his first flag football practice tonight.  Only 4 of the 7 teammates made it but they managed to have a very entertaining practice.  Kaiden was the only 4 year old.  The other three are 6 year olds & it showed.  They towered over him & ran even faster than he does (& he's pretty fast).  Kaiden didn't seem to mind though.   He ran all over the field & grabbed lots of flags.  He really enjoyed wearing the flag belt!  I put short socks on him & the poor kiddo got a bad blister on his ankle right away.  He yelled,"I've got a blister." during the early part of practice.  I told him to come over to let me see & it was bleeding.  I was really worried because I knew his socks were the problem & there was nothing we could do about it.  I pulled the sock up & asked him if he thought he could still run & he said yes.  He went on with the rest of the practice with no complaining.  My grandfather always said,"Just rub it in the dirt." if there was an injury.  Well tonight, Paw Paw Adcox, your great grandson "rubbed it in the dirt!"
