Our Budding Artist

Kaiden has been creating works of art for a long time now.  He went through a phase of wanting to make his own books.  We must have made 50 different ones & he loves to read the books he's made.  He also loves to color, although he likes to use markers.  The only problem with markers is how they bleed through to the other side in coloring books.  So I usually print coloring pages from the web or we scan his favorite coloring books so he can use markers. He's probably colored around 300 pictures of the Incredibles just for an example.  Most of our red or black markers are out of ink. In fact, his creations are overtaking the house so I've recently started taking pictures of them & saving them digitally because he just makes art constantly.  I am including a small sampling of his work.  A lot of it is stuff he's done on his own, but he also has tons of little treasures that come home from pre-school, too. We bought him a really nice art table for Christmas & he loves it!  He colors, cuts, pastes & writes for hours.

This is one of my favorite things Kaiden has drawn on his new table.  It is our Jeep with the Christmas tree on top.  He drew the net & rope that they used to tie it on & he says that it is bouncing up & down on the roof.  He even included little sound waves to indicate that the horn is honking.  I love watching his little imagination work!
3 Versions of Mr. Incredible:  (left top)  Kaiden had just learned how to draw hearts. So cute!  (right top) This shows how creative he is.  He even colored the background & made stripes too.  (bottom left) a little more traditional version but you can see he made it for Baby Kase (before Kase was born)  = )  (bottom right) The entire Incrdible Family...  He's pretty good at staying in the lines.

Kaiden writes sweet little notes & makes cards for people.  He also like to make lists & below is an example of what he wanted to do one day.  If you know me, you know I am a major list maker so it's really funny to see that Kaiden shares my affinity for list-making.
