14 years ago today... was the best day of my life! It was the day Ben & I started dating. Other very wonderful days have followed like our wedding day & the births of our two precious boys, but without November 6, 1994 those wouldn't have happened... so I just want to take a minute to tell Ben how much I love him & how glad I am that we started dating our senior year in high school.
I liked Ben from the first time I met him freshmen year. He was funny, smart & super nice, too. We became really close friends & had lots of fun together. At some point, I really started liking him, but I was really nervous to admit it to him. It took a while for us to let each other know but when we did (on Nov, 6th) there was no looking back. In fact, I knew that day that I was going to marry him. He was just my perfect match. Of course, we went on to UT & had 5 great years before getting married. Now we've been married for 8 happy years & have our two little blessings.
Ben is such a wonderful husband. But I always knew he would be because he's such a wonderful person. He's very unselfish - & I think that is a really rare quality. He's really caring & he's a great listener. My favorite quality is his optimistic view of situations & his sense of humor. He always knows how to make me feel better! He is a real help to me raising the boys, he works so hard to earn us a living, & he's my best friend. I say all the time that I hit the "husband jackpot." : ) I could go on & on about him but I'll save that to tell him in person.
Ben, Thanks for our first 14 years... here's to many, many more! I love you!
