Weekend Color Splash

Well, I say every time I finish painting that I will NEVER paint again... (& Ben always chuckles because he knows better) but I always do.  I couldn't take the plain walls in the boy's rooms anymore so I got busy painting Saturday & Sunday.  This time I only painted one wall in each room instead of all of them & the ceilings & they aren't as elaborate as their last rooms.  It's different to just have an accent wall but I'm trying to get used to it.

Now keep in mind that Kaiden LOVES The Incredibles & the color yellow.   This decor isn't for everyone but he loves it & helped me pick colors & he even painted.  He was very good at painting.  It must be in his genes.   : )

He kept saying, "Thank you, Mommy, for letting me paint with you.  I love to paint.  This is fun!"
While Daddy put the bed back together, Kaiden read me a whole book by himself.  He's reading super well and I love to see him sounding out difficult words!   It was well past bedtime when we finished & he was so tired.   Buddy, the cat, cuddled up with Kaiden & he quickly went to sleep no doubt dreaming about his favorite super heros.   : )
The big reveal.
Kase didn't help me paint but I think he looks pretty happy with the outcome.
Just some cute stripes to add a little fun...
Lion & tigers & bears... oh my!
Our little monkey lurking in his doorway.
Here's a picture of Kase's new little football chair Mom bought him.  She got one for Kaiden too & they love them.  Kase loves to get in & out of chairs over and over, usually with a phone or remote in hand.
Another fun chair just the right size... see the remote.  : )  He now smiles & wrinkles his nose for the camera on command.  He's so funny!  This morning I was putting Kaiden's socks on his feet while he was eating his breakfast before school & Kase stuck his feet out wanting them on his feet.  So I just tickled them & we went on with things.  Then we went to his room to clean up & hang some things on the newly painted walls & he found his socks.   He brought them to me & stuck out his feet.  The boy wants socks on!
